Court lady Seong Geum witnesses Myeong Yi and Jang Geum at a market place while shopping and feels threatened by Myeong Yi's presence. Seong Geum and her brother, Pan Sool, plot to kill Myeong Yi. Jang Geum witnesses her mother's death and is spurned by a strong will to accomplish Myeong Yi's dying wish. Aired: September 16, 2003.
On her way back to the palace, JangGeum stops by the Royal library to drop off a letter for Jung, WoonBaek and encounters Min, JungHo. On the day she returns to the Royal kitchen, she starts preparing for the NaIn Qualification Exam. Episode 11 POISONOUS DUCKS?
